With influences from ”Stevie Ray Vaughn” and the Allman Brothers” to “The Dixie Dregs” and Bruce Springsteen, while realizing the power of music in our culture today The Factory Seconds Band brings a relevant, passionate progressive blues based rock sound that inspires and motivates. The Factory Seconds Band members have been serving North Coast Church in Vista California in the area of worship for the last seven years and are currently the lead band for their North Coast @ Roosevelt Video venue. The band has also led worship and held concerts for: • Mark Mittelberg (Contagious Christian Seminar) Individually the band members have led worship for dozens of churches across the country. Combined the bands worship leading experience adds up to 30 years with a commitment to engaging people in worship by using the familiar songs of today’s worship artists, creative arrangements of classic hymns and well produced original material. Because of their commitment to the unchurched The Factory Seconds Band has also written a series of non-worship special music songs with a relevant message that can be played in any arena whether a Church Concert, Club, Convention, Festival, Retreat or Outreach Event. The Factory Seconds Band released their first CD, “Our Price, Regular Price” on the In-Tune Record label in May of 2003 and it has met with excellent reviews. The band has blended powerful worship songs with instrumentals that range from beautiful ballads to Rock Anthems. The project has struck a refreshing cord with ages ranging from 25 to 55 and has been used as a resource for inviting unchurched friends to Sunday services. 2005 will bring their next CD offering “Deep Lines” which will feature all of their original non-worship songs. TestimonyFactory Seconds Band members come from a widely diversified background. Our members include two that served our country in the Marine Corp, a Lifeguard for the City of Oceanside, a guitar Technician for some of the most popular Rock bands in the industry and one who was a full time Worship Pastor and Music Minister. They all came to know the Lord in different ways and through different circumstances. The five-schooled musicians cumulatively have over 150 years of musical experience. Three years ago the band refocused their music and talents to create more of an outreach oriented experience. They wanted to not only be attractive to the church but also to the un-churched. After finishing a worship CD in 2003 the band started writing music that, in their words, would “reach our un-churched friends that love great music”. The result is their current project, “Deep Lines” a mix of progressive blues based rock tunes that encourage the listener to think about current issues as well as the “Big” issue of spiritual preparedness. All five members of the Factory Seconds Band are involved in their churches as volunteer Worship Leaders and Musicians and all have a growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
